Corporate Events

KingsBridge believes that it is truly important to be involved in our community. This includes our professional community as well as life away from the office. We thought you'd like to learn about our community involvement - you can keep tabs on our trade show schedule, corporate fundraising, and the fun times we're having out on our bikes.

Trade Shows

For the past 15 years, KingsBridge has made the DRJ Fall World and DRJ Spring World shows our trade show focus. These two premier trade shows have grown to be the leaders in disaster recovery planning and business continuity trade show circuit.

DRJ Spring World

This past March we were at the DRJ Spring World where we launched Phoenix SharePoint, the Microsoft SharePoint version of Phoenix (see what you missed). Phoenix SharePoint was a show highlight with many of you stopping by for a demo and to learn more about the integration of Phoenix and Microsoft SharePoint.

DRJ Fall World

We will be at the DRJ Fall World show in San Diego where we will be showcasing our latest Phoenix development. As soon as we know our booth number, we'll post it here so you can be sure to put us on your list of companies to visit. As always we're sure to have some enticing give aways and draw prizes!

Corporate Fundraising

Community involvement and making our community healthier and more active are at the core of KingsBridge's corporate fundraising mission.

Nevada Cancer Institute

KingsBridge is heavily involved in raising money for the Nevada Cancer Institute. Cancer is a disease that has touched each and everyone of us in the office so with our involvement with the Plus 3 Network, we're able to get out and ride our bikes, go for a run, walk the dog, and simply be active - all the while raising money for cancer research.

Global Corporate Challenge

The Global Corporate Challenge is all about getting your workforce active, healthy and more productive. Lost productivity and absenteeism costs organizations worldwide billions every week. Our employees are part of this worldwide movement to get people out and moving. Thanks to our pedometers and bicycle computers, we're able to track how much we ride, walk, and run in a day. A quick visit to the website and we update our data - all working to show that it is possible to integrate a healthy and active life into one that also involves travel, meetings, trade shows, and usual day-to-day of corporate life.

Heel 'N' Wheel-A-Thon

The Heel 'N' Wheel-A-Thon is an annual fundraiser for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada. Our sponsored athlete, Vicki Thomas, has ulcerative colitis. She is one of 200,000 people in Canada suffering from these diseases. At present there is no known cause for either Crohn's or ulcerative colitis - as such there is also no known cure. On June 13 we joined Vicki for a morning of riding and awareness raising for these diseases. With thanks to contributions from her friends, KingsBridge, and the community at-large, Vicki raised $1,135 for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.

Play Time Away from the Office

If you visit us at our Ottawa office, the first thing you will notice are the cycling jerseys on the office walls. We at KingsBridge love to ride our bikes. Be it mountain biking, road cycling, or cyclo-cross racing - pretty much all of our "play" time involves two wheels!

24 Hours of Summer Solstice

24 hours of mountain bike racing, camping, hanging out with friends and colleagues - it really doesn't get much better than this. This year, KingsBridge participated in 24 Hourse of Summer Solstice one of the largest 24 hour mountain bike races in North America. This race draws over 3,000 cyclists each year to Albion Hills, ON for a weekend of fun and relaxation.

24 Hours of Hot August Nights

We had so much fun at the 24 Hours of Summer Solstice that we've booked August 28th and 29th to once again enter our corporate team in a weekend of racing and relaxation at Hot August Nights. A great way for some out-of-the-office bonding and a chance to wind down before the September and fall busyness.

Ottawa Cross

This is our third season sponsoring Vicki Thomas, an internationally ranked cyclo-cross racer. Last season Vicki raced in the 2010 World Cyclo-Cross Championships in Tabor, Czech Republic where she finished an admirable 41st and finished the season ranked in the top 50 of the best cyclo-cross racers in the country. Vicki can be seen out racing and training showing off the KingsBridge colors all over North America and Europe.

Team DisasterRecovery.com

New for this cycling season, we sponsored James Snider a local downhill mountain biker. James is living the dream - racing and training and seizing the day. James can be seen all over Quebec and Ontario racing down the mountains fast with his red, white, and black KingsBridge clothing.
